which tests are to be performed to certified the materials of hydraulic cylinder?
Materials are as follow:-
cylinder pipe- St 52.3 N
Piston Rod - AISI 431
Piston Ring and nut - C 45
Guide Ring - IS 318
O ring - NBR 80
Which tests will certify the quality of these materials?
I thing all requirements, such as pressure, are described in device specification. Taking this in consideration, you will be able to find materials, which may handle the load. According to steel, NBR, other materials: these types are well known and that is why for all materials one can find it's standard and properties.
So, taking into consideration your question, I think, materials with better properties (than materials used commonly) may be used for cylinders.
