transportation played a key role in city development during the 20th century. I would strongly recommend some topic concerning relation between transportation systems AND quality of life in the cities (noise, pollution, infrastructure's linear structures as borders in city). Lot has been written but still there is much to solve.

1. Post-War urban mobility and resilience.

2. Rebuilding smart transport networks.

3. Inclusive transport in Post-war urban planning.

I'm a researcher in this field, I can tell you that the main themes (but not limited to) are:

1) Urban development (sustainable)

2) Urban Planning (for whom?)

3) The idea and redefinition of urbanism (including environmental aspects);

4) Sustainable Cities (although the topic is being discussed today, it is an issue that has been debated since Marx's discoveries.)

Restoration and/or reconstruction of cultural heritage buildings and historic urban patterns after war-damage requires particular approach and confrontation with similar experiences in other countries after World War I and II.
