Hello, I am a PhD student in Marine Biology and I am currently planning technical dives within marine caves (entrance at 0-40m). Could someone provide me with some references to use to enable a safer preparation?
Not sure where you're starting from in terms of gear, protocols, etc., but if you haven't already, I'd look into Hogarthian diving standards, also known as DIR (Doing It Right). These standards arose from hard lessons, particularly in cenote penetration dives, so they'd be extremely relevant to you. There's information here about Hogarthian standards: http://www.kurzypotapania.com/en/content/hogarthian-dir-diving-equipment-configuration?language=en
Training programs such as Uniform Team Diving (UTD) apply Hogarthian/DIR equipment and protocols to all levels of diving training. Their website is here: https://utdscubadiving.com/
Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) is another group that trains on the Hogarthian standards. https://www.gue.com/
