Dear all, I’m currently working on a characteristic mapping of extrinsic and emotional durability in fashion (as part of my master’s thesis). The topic is broad and layered, and I would highly appreciate your insights! Based on literature research, I’ve identified key indicators and integrated them into an existing “design for durability” framework. The next step is to connect each characteristic with relevant R-strategies (from the circular economy framework) and identify which departments within a brand can influence them most effectively. These four questions guide my research: - Does the distinction between extrinsic and emotional durability make sense? - - Are there missing characteristics or any that have been misassigned? - Which R-strategies can be meaningfully assigned to the individual characteristics? - Which departments or roles within a brand (Impact Creators) can have the strongest influence on the respective durability aspects ? 💬 Here’s where I’d love your input: If you're interested, feel free to reach out to me — I’d be happy to share the Excel file with you for further input and collaboration.
