Working with biomass for energy purposes could be an option. In this aspect there is a marked link between the properties of the biomass evaluated for these processes with the origin of it. For example, specific environmental conditions, soil characteristics and sowing can affect the moisture, ash , the ash compositon and other properties of the biomass. I think it can be correlated with your profile. Working with natural products offers that possibility.

Biomass will be a good option considering your country is one of the largest producers of cocoa. It will interest you to know that cocoa has one of the highest leaf litter production or leaf drop rates among tropical fruit trees. As a result, the leaves, beans shells, and waste cocoa seed pods can be used as be used as raw material for biomass, biogas and bioenery production. Perhaps you can explore one of these areas for your MSc thesis.
