The case study on Public Policy is mainly focusing on the citizens who can get the benefits from the Government.
The case study is the qualitative data collection from the Focus Group Discussion and Key Informants Interview members who are aged and experienced in the field of public life.
It may be all sections of the community stakeholders will come in the line of the hierarchy.
It depends upon the different economic class of the people in the society.
Public Policy is encompassed of many privileges to the vulnerable people in the community.
The case study concentrates on the stakeholders in the community who are entitled to get those privileges in time.
The public policy will protect the beneficiaries in terms of their economic standard in the given environment.
For example in Britain, government spends 13% of its budgetary allocation for education, whereas in many other countries it is much low. This is a policy that policy makers ( of UK) have introduced. You may choose this as a case and argue for and against it citing data.
Identify an area that is not benefitting from the public policy as envisaged and in this instance the rural areas or townships tend to be the best case study.
Adding to the important messages above, I would like to bring to your attention this fact. Every public policy, is an instrument for the equitable and sustainable welfare of all citizens. Thus, special attention must be given to evaluate a selected set of interrelated public policies, which in various political administrative periods, have been applied in specific, comparable national/local areas, in order to determine results, effects and impacts, for different citizens and groups (eg. urban vs rural; poor, prosperous) and produce sound conclusions about the relevance and quality of the policy results for all citizens, specially for those in vulnerability or socioeconomic disadvantage. A key analysis to be included is the quality of the policy process formulation, the kind and grade of incidence of every key actor in the policy decision making, the quality and grade of representativity of citizens participation, and the response given by the public policy/ies to the critical aspects found, from the demands of specific disadvantaged actors, in the light of equitable and sustainable welfare that any policy must provide.
A lot of cases can be highlighted for public policy . Focus should be on unfocused area of Society like Education , household , health infrastructure. Case can be framed for particular unfocused are for particular country deficit.
Public Policy is a vast field and there can be numerous case studies in more than one filed. my personal suggestion in this regards is that the world has suffered a lot because of COVID-19 and an initiative to suggest to governments to address the recovery phase on a policy level would be of practical value. this may include , health education and unemployment etc.
Case study for public policy should include topics that are burning issue of society as per state or country concerns. Fir example Education is big problems in our country particularly in rural part .
In the period from March 2020, the key determinants of the impact that in many respects changed public policy include the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) coronavirus pandemic. As regards the case study on Public Policy issues, I propose an analysis of the applied anti-pandemic security instruments and systemic solutions for limiting the development of the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) coronavirus pandemic as a process of improving safety within public policy. The analysis may include a comparison of the applied costs of improving pandemic risk management processes, the economic effects of the introduced lockdowns, the costs of the so-called anti-crisis shields and other forms of public aid applied to commercially operating business entities in relation to the positive effects expressed in terms of slowing down the pandemic development.
the pandemic of COVID-19 has affected the public policy domain in many ways. Government world wide have respond to the challenge which they have not experienced. the effects range from policy formulation on the economic and social fronts to even human behaviors.
Governments both in the developing as well as the developed world had to divert funds form social sectors and allocate it to fighting the pandemic. Health sector reforms and steps were taken. Education has been severely affected and the pandemic has brought into the fore the value and necessity of digitalizing the education sector . working form home has become a norm of the day now. Public policy has to be formulated in the context of these changes. for many reasons even of the pandemic recedes the changes are here to stay and governments have devised there policies keeping in view these changes.
