We have several sources of information which are processed server side in order to generate dynamic structured documents (header, sections, paragraphs, etc.). These documents can be partially modified, and some ideal features would include the ability to generate different output formats (the most important pdf), and add an electronic signature to the doc.
If I have understood you, I think that the library that you need is the XtraReport of Developer Express. I've been using it for a while and let you merge information from different sources into a structured document. Once there you can export the result in PDF, HTML, image, etc., etc.

No, I'm not asking suggestions for reporting tools, but for creating structured documents, such as legal ones. Something that could facilitate text processing or composing. One similar example could be Aspose.Words.
XtraReports is for reporting.
dspace is for creating document repositories.

We have done all of these with XtraReports... may be I'm not understanding your needs...
Thanks, Darío for your suggestion. Although XtraReports has some features that could fit, It might not be the right tool for text processing server side.

- joining or splitting documents, copying fragments between documents, protecting and unprotecting documents, modifying document properties and inserting HTML fragments into documents.
We used Aspose.Words for heavy server side Word documents processing and it is really fast. We also used Aspose.PDF which complements the other by allowing pdf editing, signature, etc.
I'm know exploring alternatives to these commercial products (open source, if posible). They might be not so full-featured, but if I get the 80% without reinventing the wheel, we could afford programming more specific features.
Javier... you are right... XtraReports could not help with this... Now I'm interested in find something like this, so I'll do some searchs and if I have any result will tell you. Tell us if you find something!
