Leaves a lot to be desired in terms of the feasibility of any of the implementation. My own experience with 45 years with Sperry Univac Unisys gave me a lot of insights into what you present in this lecture. The systems I worked with were closely coupleed machine models with specialized accelerators built for such things as file caches and lock sharing and management between member systems in the closely coupled architecture of our mainframes. When we did our VOD architecture, we defined a system architecture with functional distribution based on frequency of access and data in motion optimization that allowed us to scale up very nicely for streaming video over ultra-high speed networking capabilities. We even patented the muti layer server architecture that was based on workload distribution. The resulting architectures developed were highly resilient and very high performance. We could have a discussion or collaboration if you wish
