Hello everyone,

due to missing data I decided to use lavaan with missings='fiml' for my mediation and moderation analyses. I analyse only observed variables, no latent variables. I was wondering if besides Parameter Estimates (regression paths and variances), other sections of the lavaan output are important to interpret, e.g. Model Test Baseline Model, Comparative Fit Index (CFI) , Tucker-Lewis Index (TLI), Loglikelihood and Information Criteria, AIC, BIC, RMSEA, SRMR.

I have the impression that some model test statistics do not show me correct values anyway: see image.

I also wonder how I should define fixed.x =TRUE or FALSE.

The description says: If TRUE, the exogenous ‘x’ covariates are considered fixed variables and the means, variances and covariances of these variables are fixed to their sample values. If FALSE, they are considered random, and the means, variances and covariances are free parameters. If "default", the value is set depending on the mimic option.

My exogenous variables are e.g. baseline depression, therapeutic alliance, an interaction effect and the fixed assignment to an eCoach (eCoach1, eCoach2, eCoach3 .. eCoach10). I tend to say that it should be fixed.x=FALSE. Is that correct?

I would be very happy about an example, when fixed.x = TRUE and when = FALSE.

Thank you very much!
