Greetings. I am interested in starting my research in blockchain and integrating it with LoRaWAN. Can anyone suggest any issues and challenges in blockchain-based LoRaWAN networks?
A great issue of the open-source LoRaWan is the infrastructure (gateways) which someone has to provide free of charge.
From an economic point of view, there is no incentive to do so if you don't have sensors on your own.
One solution to address this issue is the Helium network also called the "peoples network". The incentives are the following: by providing infrastructure (miner) every person gets rewarded by the network and the person who transmits data which is why this network is growing fast.
You can check if some spot is near you at:

If there is no spot you can simply buy a miner, make your own hotspot, and get rewarded by others that use your hotspot.
