Dear Vira, I think we can generally say that the teacher's (and classroom materials') language should be one step beyond the students' current language ability, to move them into the Zone of Proximal Development. With absolute beginners, like the ones you are describing, your suggestions about using a maximally simple (although not artificial) language certainly make sense.
Language learners need simplicity, not complexity because simplified input enhances comprehension, reduces cognitive overload, and allows learners to internalize basic structures before progressing to more complex forms, thereby promoting effective and confident language acquisition.
Dear Vira, I would suggest to take into account the working memory load of L2 learners. To learn new L2 words we have to find a subtil balance between task complexity, word related complexity (frequency, spelling, meaning...), and the L2 required squills (perception?, oral production? conservation...). Keeping in mind that to much "cumulative" complexity of the task, skill and word eill hinder learning.
This is very agreeable by me, When learning a new language one needs simple language in-put and simple techniques to help them learn better. In this way it will be easier for the person to start practicing the language using simple vocabulary and gradually develop into complex
