Does anyone know what might have happened to the Journal of Language Teaching and Learning (JLTL) website or journal itself? I just used the same link I had used before and received a "Not Found" message.
The last snapshot the Internet archive/The wayback Machine took of the page is here (Aug 31st 2018) and snapshots are taken once or twice a month. https://web.archive.org/web/20180423231240/http://www.jltl.org:80/index.php/jltl?statisticsYear=2018
Have they even noticed they are not online any longer? Did not pay the domain bill? Server failure? Or something else. Use the Internet archive to find email to editor or committe and ask..
Thank you, Anders! I could find the contact info via your snapshot. I'll write to them and ask. As you said, they might not even be aware that they are not online anymore. And, thanks for sharing the info about the internet archive. Very useful and helpful. Thank you SO much! Best, Tomoko
Just happy to help. And yes, the Internet Archive is very useful in these kinds of cases. I use it now and then for problem solving, and it is also possible to link to, and can also be referenced in a paper, it will stay there (even if the page becomes so slow to load that one may lose hope sometimes).
Thank you for letting me know that you have also written to the JLTL editor and have not heard back from them. I, too, e-mailed them about a month ago but have received no response. Let me know if you hear from them. I'll do the same.
Thank you for the update! I'm glad to hear that you have at least heard from them. I have not, but it's good to know Editors have responded to you inquiry. I'll keep you posted.
Right after responding to you, I also received a short message from the JTLT Editorial Team. It seems that they are resuming their work. They are still not online, however.
I've heard that the JLTL website got hacked some time ago, and it's still down. And yet, you can get their recent publications on Academia: http://gazi.academia.edu/TheJournalofLanguageTeachingandLearningJLTL
