Documentary Books series: Collective Injustice

Book #6

An Inauspicious Start at San Jose State University

Toni Morrison said, "The severe function of racism is a distraction. It keeps you from doing your work. It keeps you explaining, over and over again, your reason for being."

My tragedy at San Jose University began when I was invited to attend an interview for my university appointment in July 2002. During that time, I met a university professor called Gilda Pour, who was of Iranian origin and was working at the university. Gilda Pour was an icon of sincerity and hard work, which was devastated entirely by a group of irresponsible racists working at San Jose University. Gilda Pour is not a character in a movie or a hero in a T.V. series; instead, she is a real personality, a great professor in software engineering, and did considerable research. She worked at one of the top universities in America, San Jose State University, but suffered from discrimination and racism. She warned me, at the beginning of my career at the university, to move away lest I encounter ill-treatment and difficulties. Did I listen to her advice? Suddenly, she disappeared forever. What happened to her? Nobody knew the details of her tragedy.

This book contains the ugliest discrimination scenarios you can imagine, which came as a flood of nasty and disgusting smells from the majority of faculty at the department. I will submit crime reports to the police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the California and Federal supreme courts, which are all against them.

If you are interested in knowing more about my tragedy, please get in touch with me at (http://drfayad.com), and don't hesitate to contact me at ([email protected]) to get the extended stories with much evidence within this volume. The delay in doing the website caused a lot of losses because "Amazon Publishing Pro" did not HONOR THE CONTRACT SIGNED ON APRIL 14, 2023, and participated in the Collective Injustice.

Chapter 07:

Beware of Bad People

Al-Mutanabby, a traditional poet, says in one of his poems: "If you have ever done a favor to the generous one,

They will obey you like your own son.

And if you have ever done a favor to the mean one,

They will bite your hand, and away they will run."

In another instance, Imam Al-Qurtubi explains a verse from the Holy Qur'an and says, "And they were not resentful except that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them with His bounty." He said that the previous verse had confirmed the saying, "Beware the evil of one for whom you have done good." In other words, "no good deed will go unrewarded" or "the hand with which you give food is more likely to be bitten. The situation I will describe goes back many years ago when a university professor called me and asked me to help one of his students in the department, Professor Jerry Zhao, by publishing one of his research papers in the most famous specialized scientific journal. Therefore, I helped and cooperated with him even though he works at a different university. After a while, I decided to leave the university where I work. I applied to the university where Professor Zhao works. Then, on the day of my interview at the new university, I noticed looks of admiration from all the attendees. I joined the new university. We agreed that I would finish my work at the old university and then take over. Coincidentally, Jerry Zhao was absent that day. When the news of my appointment reached him, he called me angrily and was not pleased with my appointment with them at the university. Professor Zhao tried to get rid of me without any justification. He did not welcome my being with him at the same university. I wonder why all this. What is his reason? The repercussions of this strange behavior on myself were very severe, especially since I had signed contracts with the university and had not harmed him or anyone else. It was the first disagreement that occurred between us. Another conflict arose when the department considered making a newspaper and nominated me as a professor to supervise the research presented to the department. It was a great work of high value and distinguished position. Numerous attendees attended my lectures, while the classes Zhao gave were full of attendants. Perhaps that was the cause of the grudge and hatred toward me. He was opposed to me in everything for no apparent reason. Some Americans who do not accept others still tend to be racists. Even though we live in the age of science and technology, some people still have traces of racism, tribalism, ethnicity, and discrimination, especially in American society. We all know that racial discrimination was officially banned in the mid-twentieth century. My question to you all is:

Is this the real civilization of man—to be aggressive, offensive, abusive, racist, and uncaring?

Please respond to my question.
