The evaporation of injected water in shape of droplet could cause internal cooling of compressed air inside each compressor.

Yes, in my opinion, convection heat transfer in CAES is much less than latent heat evaporation of water.
Hi Heidar, the latent heat of vaporization of water is 2260 J/g and the specific heat of water is 4.18 J/g/C. It would thus require a rise of about 540 degrees C for water to absorb it's latent heat, which is of course impossible. This indicates that in any process the availability of energy because of temperature changes is much smaller than that available from phase change. Looked at another way, the temperature change available in bringing water from room temperature to its boiling point (vaporization temperature) is only about about 80 degrees C. Such internal energy change is only about 15% of the energy available from vaporization, indicating the level of error assumed if you consider only latent heat effects.
