In 1999 Professors Taylor and Gunn published a well known paper on homicides by people with a mental illness (see below).

Another scource are the annual reports of the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Homicide by People with Mental Illness which provides data from the last decade (see the link below; but I suppose that you are aware of this scource).

Interesting we have many studies about genetic of suicide! Why we have not genetic studies about homicides!?

You might also be interested in looking at the study by Rodway et al (2011) in which they examined the characteristics and mental health care contact of a large sample form England and Wales of homicide perpetrators aged 17 and under.
There might be interesting figures.
