I use mobile devices to collect data (e.g., ODK) mostly in remote areas with no WiFi, or Cellphone network coverage. My normal way of getting the data from the many mobile devices is via sync with my Internet/WiFi based server. Precisely, the mobile devices send the data to my server when they connect to WiFi. I recently lost a mobile device before it synced with my server. I am wondering if there is technology out there in the form of a 'mobile server' or hard drive that can sync with the mobile device wirelessly and backup the data  when I am still miles away from WiFi civilization. Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.
