My question is : which one is better to use for IoT intrusion Detection ? a standardized data set like KDD or Intel Lab( real IoT data) and to made synthesized data set?* I''ve checked some questions about this topic but no clear answer

Creating an IoT dataset from commercial systems faces huge challenges due to the limitation of diversity attacks or access privilege. I assumes Mirai and its variants are known attacks but only for IP IoT devices such as Camera IP/surveillance devices. Therefore, you may like creating a synthetic dataset via simulation system,.e.g., ns-3, or do it in a "small" group of smart-home devices. Any method have its own constraints.

Data depends heavily on the type of IoT network. For example, if you want to simulate a 6LoWPAN network, you can use Cooja's Wireshark plugin to export simulation data.

For a research, i am also looking for a dataset regarding Mirai-like attacks on IOT. i found one from ICU's archives. but further suggestions and clues from academicians are more than welcome.
Intel Lab has only normal traffic, you have to fetch in attacks/suspension traffic
