Questioning the large phenomenon of the use of human figure in representations, Lacoue-Labarthe evokes Hegel's explanation which make return this privilege to the fact that "human is the spiritual". This metahysical answer does not satisfy Lacoue-Labarthe, but he does not mention other theoretical points of view in the book "la figure dans l'art". I would like to know if other theories responding to that question exist, and if so what are they.
