I am a little lost by the question. It sounds like you want to assess a field condition in a controlled setting. What you really want to assess? Are you looking at physical characteristics or mental processing/ decision making? Do you want discrete/ dichotomous data (i.e., correct or incorrect performance/ execution/ decision-making)? If it is the last, what is you gold standard? If I am off-base, please let me know. - Best
