Hi, your topic is interesting. I had a paper presented in a conference held in Jordan about machine translation. But don't you think that individual sounds produces by infants and babies are meaningless, and that they are a response to physical stimuli. babies produce sounds even not found in their native language.
I agree with Aida that sounds produced by infants are nonlinguistic ones. Therefore, they are meaningless. Please share us your reserach objective to be more helpful.
Although infant and babies' sounds aren't "linguistic" per se, they have meaning according to their particular context, that the mother and close relatives can understand.
