May be a treatment train could be solution using chemical oxidation as a polishing step.

Could you specify what you mean by "removing from the environment"? That is a rather general term. Do you want to:

-destroy or bind PAHs before they leave a process facility where they cause pollution? In this case you can try the suggestions of my preposters. I would add the treatment with peroxyreagents as an additional possibility (forms epoxides, makes them more reactive, but don't let the epoxides themselves into nature, that causes cancer).

-remove PAHs that have already been emitted? In this case you should not try nanoparticles since there are already enough of those out there.

There are plenty of peroxyreagents comercially available, the most famous is probably mCPBA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meta-Chloroperoxybenzoic_acid).

The general strategy is often a reaction with H2O2.

However: keep in mind that peroxyreagents must be decomposed themselves before the mixture can be released into the environment, otherwise you will epoxidize fishes...
