endometriosis is chronic disease that unfortunately misdiagnosed in many cases and late diagnosis make medical treatment modality often useles And surgery is still the gold standard in the treatment of this disease.

However symptomatic treatment with hormonal and anti inflammatory drugs may be useful after labroscopic reduction of endomaterosis areas.

Medical treatment is tried for 3 months in endometriosis if response is good we continue for 12 months but if no good response surgical treatment in the form of cauterization and adhesiolysis by laparoscopy and in India many expert laparoscopic surgeons you could go to AIIMS university, Newdelhi to professor Alka Kriplani and discuss your case to her to reach the best treatment modality suitable for you.

f it is more multiple endometriosis? Regarding 2-3 spouts agree surgery is the choice.

What about prevention?

Endometriosis occurs during embryogenesis. Retrograde menstruation is not endometriosis and doesn't cause it.

As far as ı know, there is two indications for surgery in regarding with endometriosis. One of them is severe pelvic pain, if you have experience severe pelvic pain. surgery is best option for you . But surgeon experiences is the key for this type of operation. You should find experienced surgeon in this field. I agree with harry reich. Shailesh is the best in india. Get well soon

For managing the the pain symptom, I would suggest you to try acupuncture. Till now, there are several trials published in the area. And some showed positive results. A good article that you can refer to is: Is acupuncture effective in the treatment of pain in endometriosis?.

In China, there are also a large population of women who are suffering from endometriosis. Those patients commonly visit TCM doctors for seeking acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine treatment. From my experience, I saw in clinics and hospitals a lot of patients receiving TCM treatment got their symptoms well-managed. However, it should be noted that in China, most of the patients receive combined acupuncture and herbal formulas. It could be a synergetic effect of those two interventions. But to be honest, relevant evidence is still lacking. You can try that as a adjuvant therapy to conventional drugs.

Endometriosis is a condition in which the endometrium, the layer of tissue that normally covers the inside of the uterus, grows outside of it. Most often this is on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and tissue around the uterus and ovaries; however, in rare cases it may also occur in other parts of the body. The main symptoms are pelvic pain and infertility. Nearly half of those affected have chronic pelvic pain, while in 70% pain occurs during menstruation. Pain during sexual intercourse is also common. Infertility occurs in up to half of women affected. Less common symptoms include urinary or bowel symptoms. About 25% of women have no symptoms. Endometriosis can have both social and psychological effects.
