It has been a year with online teaching and learning, is their any improvement in teaching and learning with the passage of time ( semester 1 to semester 2) during the pandemic year.
Yes, there has been an evolution in the educational process through the training of the teaching staff through workshops and courses on how to e-learning during the Corona pandemic
let me recommend an article by prof Rusudan Makhachashvili and al. on how soft skills and digital skills were measured during the COVID-19 semester.
Despite the pandemic semester posed an array of challenges to the structure and procedure of the university summative assessment process, final exams (oral and written exams, final project viva, internal and external review) showed a significant difference in skills.

Inspite of the pandemic misfortunate there are advatages and disadvantages on eduction,Among these advsnteges keep our students far from the novel pandemic and activate application electronic eduction while main disadvanteges lack of practica sessions. Thanks
Thank you for the interesting topic of discussion.
About a year ago, when we were forced by the circumstances to begin with online classes, there was an element of surprise. We were trying to cope with the changed situation. After a year or so that element of surprise has vanished. Now many have accepted the online format of modern education.
Thus, to answer directly, it can be said that there is no improvement as such. Yes, there is a change. There is a gigantic change in the psyche.
My wife (she is a professor at the university) can't wait to return to full-time education. She was already very tired of sitting in front of the computer all day. Students also dream of returning to the classroom, which is weird but understandable when we think about it.
Online training is liked only by administrative staff - they are not interested in the essence, but only in the numbers in the reports.
I already wrote once - I would not want the plane in which I fly to be piloted by a person who has learned online, even a taxi driver ... It's better to have AI in general.
Teachers have acquired technology related skills and the students have acquired skills related to writing exams without attending the class. Warm regards Yoganandan
You pointed to an essential case. Universities and the academic sector in general must improve the outcome of teaching and learning with novel solutions:

Yes though with challenges. Us here we adopted a mix of both online and face to face. I still prefer face to face owing to challenges of electricity, internet bundles and hardware.
Yea!!! In Bangladesh, there's a remarkable improvement in online teaching and learning as we are getting used to this online platforms. But the major shortcoming of this online education is the internet connection issue. Moreover, many students in our country do not have any access to the internet due to financial problems. So, I think physical class is the best way for teaching & learning and online platform can never beat this.
...is urging schools – whether open or helping students through remote learning – to provide students with holistic support. Schools should provide children with vital information on handwashing and other measures to protect themselves and their families; facilitate mental health support; and help to prevent stigma and discrimination by encouraging students to be kind to each other and avoid stereotypes when talking about the virus. https://www.who.int/news-room/detail/10-03-2020-covid-19-ifrc-unicef-and-who-issue-guidance-to-protect-children-and-support-safe-school-operations#:~:text=UNICEF%20is%20urging%20schools%20%E2%80%93,talking%20about%20the%20virus.

Yes, there is some improvement, number one is that students who were not aware on how online studies are done, gained alot of knowledge and skills on how to go about it, the skills of V-learning, E-learning, Google meet and so on became a game of the day.
Another improvement is on the research work sector, most of the students were used to the physical libraries in their schools to do research. However in this covid19 season, many have learned how to use online resources in doing their research.
There is also an improvement in the health sector. Researchers were able to deep in research inoder to find a vaccine of Covid19. At the same time many diseases have such as Tuberculosis, cholera and other airborne and bacterial infections have reduced their infection on people due to the use of face masks, sanitisers and regular washing of hands as daily basis.
To this question, I will save yes. Though Challenges abound as relating to low digital literacies of teachers and students, poor internet connectivity, electricity, amongst others. However, like Zorica responded, "everyday we make progress". We might not have gone far, but we sure have left a point. Teachers and students are acquiring technology skills needed for online learning in the higher education sector, but more effort seem to be needed to acquire needed skills at the secondary and primary schools level.
Yes, there is a huge improvement in teaching and learning . Many involved in self learning through various online platform, which helps all like professionals, employees, and of course entrepreneurs also. Not only in academic but also in many other sectors. In fact I could say carona time has become boon to many people in their self improvement.
in my opinion, still not, and there is still a long way ahead of us. Especially, the whole approach of school education. What we see now, is the transmission of the regular, traditional lesson to the zoom and it is far from the new approach of the education in the digital existence, I am working on it now, we may research together.
Yes offcourse .Most colleges currently uses E -learning to conduct teaching and seminars to avoid face to face interactions. This neccessiate students as well as Instructors to search for more skills in using E-learning.
Yes, it improvement by related situations, with some effort to improve it , such prepare online platform, instructional, e-books , skilled teachers and technicians. teachers and students motivations, and suitable worksheets. it improved learning process during pandemic Covid 19.
