I am looking for good journals that permit authorship for the deceased researcher(s). The typical response from the editors (5+ emails received) is that they should be merely mentioned in the acknowledgment section instead of giving them full authorship.

I have a difference of opinion and believe that the contribution of any scientist/researcher should be well honored as it would have been if they were alive.

Any suggestion/guidance is much appreciated.

My personal focal area is minerals, ceramics, and geology.
