I have spent many happy holidays in Sri Lanka from the early days when it was opened up to be visited in the 1970's. The vegetation and the people, plants sold in the markets etc always fascinated and tempted me to find out more. There seems to be little available through normal search channels though? I am now busy with a PhD on vegetation at archeological sites in the southern Cape S A. But also using data from much further afield to show linkages between the archaeobotanical data and the plants indigenous peoples are still using today. So anything from Sri lanka on ethnobotany past and present and also archaeobotanicals would be really great!
