I know of none. But galvanized parts are commonplace. Unwittingly, you might find the creation of pure whiskers of zinc.

I have never seen such a thing at least in PCBs, but you can find zinc dross in galvanizing plants as secondary resources.

Zinc alone is not used commonly in electronic devices. But it is used in composing two six semicondcutor compound such as the binary compound ZnS or ZnTe or the ternary confound such as ZnCdS. It can be used as a doping material for the three-five compounds such as GaAs to produce n-type material when it substitutes the trivalent Gallium Ga.

Not to my knowledge.

• Pure zinc is used - as already mentioned - for one electrode of some primary elements (aka batteries).
• AND zink is used as a galvanic anode in galvanic cathodic protection.

Beyond that, I only know about the use of zinc as one ingredient of alloys or compounds.

Another aspect that could explain rare use of pure tin, besides the development of tin whiskers, is the allotropic transformation from white tin (beta-phase, ductile) to grey tin (alpha-phase, brittle) below 13°C.
