It is often seen that the quality of education is downgrading might be due to privatization in Education sector. The Universities and Higher Education Institutions are unable to produce quality professionals as demanded by Enterprises. Due to that, the top most firms like Microsoft, Google, Apple etc. are failed to find the talent which they require.
it actually depends how we measure quality of education, i.e., it is grades or analytic ability, or ability to apply theoretical concepts practically. In my opinion from Pakistan's perspective, there is a clear difference between the teaching methodologies used in private and public educational institutes, with A O level students being more analytic and proactive in exploring news ideas and better writing skills. Whereas the public institutions following traditional rote memory technique to reproduce material during exams. But only after you define the variables as defining what we call quality only then something can be deducted

First, one needs to define the quality of education. Quality of the education might means rote learning for memorizing poems, historical dates and events or music lyrics; and some might prefer creative thinking and innovation in advance technology and knowledge application.
Second, the privatisation of education may be effective because of benefits from small group teaching and learning.
Defining variables are important in this research.
If education has been commodified by corporations and perceived as a good to be consumed then students start to think of Education as MC Donald's. No difference at all. People attach meanings to everything in the nature including education. So if this is what we understand from privatization then yes it most probably reduces the quality of education as it is privatized. Everything is about the image of education.

I always think that education is about teaching oneself to be a good person or to be able to differentiate between right and wrong way of doing things in human term or to learn about life. When education becomes a commodity purely for people to make money, then it may defeat the purpose of education.
The critical question in the process of all the changes taking place in education is how are we going to assess (define and quantify) the quality of education. For many years the "private" universities were considered some those providing the highest quality education. So it is not the privatization per se (in my mind anyway). It is a changes in the type of "privates" that are under consideration. MOOC's add to this question and confusion further in some ways. If we are able to assess "learning" as many of the accreditation bodies and institutions desire (Student Learning Outcomes) in a meaningful way we *may* have the foundation for answering the question. Even then the the question would be the consideration of if the desired outcomes and goals for various institutions, programs and classes were sufficiently the same to even allow them to be compared? This leads one to common goals, and outcomes. Which leads to common core questions. Great question (and responses) that is very complicated as I see it.
