I am a frequent user of EndNote, although I have used Mendeley and Refworks in the past. This time, I need to choose a suitable style for a book, and therefore I don't have the guidelines from the editor/journal. I would like to see how different styles look before choosing one. In EndNote, that implies downloading each style and see it how it looks. Do you know a website with a gallery of styles? Let's say I want to see different formats of Numbered style. Any recommendation?
I do think books do have a proper citation system, but it might not be as expected. (Either different or complex, and I do think it depends where you look).
Apart from styles, and think the names are common. Try looking for the names first. See if there is one which suits you. (Do you think you could start by the names of your word editor?)

Yes, there is. You could check out Mick Schroeder's Citation Generator. It has over 9,800 citation styles. It is accurate and free. I personally tried it, and it yielded a perfect result (see the attachment). Here is the link.
