I have discovered this year that it is possible to tap tunneling electrons from different types of living biofilm or organized organism like bryophytes ( Bryophyte microbial fuel are Tunneling Fuel Cells).

Using those electrons to make electrochemistry, one might realize that there performing delocalized oxidoreduction reaction with a large field for the oxidation and a smaller field for reduction. One might also realized that one of the two electrodes can only surround the medium without touching it.

Has anyone any idea what is the equation describing this field ?
