I'm trying to create a list of semiconducting/insulating materials and their corresponding exciton lifetimes. I realize that all excitons are not 'created equally,' but I've been looking for reviews on the topic and haven't found anything.
Specifically, I'm trying to find exciton lifetimes for: CdS, CdS, CdTe, Cu2O, CuO, InN, InAs, InP, InSb, AlAs, GaP, AlSb, ZnSe, ZnS, ZnTe.
Any suggestions?
Right, by 'bulk' I mean to say the llifetime of an exciton within a 3D extended solid. For example, crystals of Cu2O have an edition lifetime of microseconds. I'm not trying to differentiate between 'bulk' and semiconductor, just trying to explain i'm trying to find exciton lifetimes of bulk AND / OR quantum confined materials.

No - I am just looking for exciton lifetimes of materials under standard atmosphere, temperature, and pressure (ambient conditions). Thanks for everyone's help!
Lifetimes of excitons are related to exciton binding energy and exciton linewidth. The first quantity is dependent on the confinement potential. For instance, exciton binding energy of ideal 2D electron-hole plasma is 4 times greater than in bulk medium. Values for quantum well structures lie in a middle depending on the quantum-well width.

Martin, the lifetime of excitons is largely dependent on the availability of different types of crystal defects. In semiconductor crystals with the ideal (hypothetical) crystal structure, there are no defects. So, here excitons scattered only by vibrations of the crystal lattice. The real semiconductors have different defects. Therefore, in this case there is an additional scattering of excitons. It affects on their life time. This means that for different samples of same crystal the life time of excitons will be different.
Above mentioned comments give you an answer about the values of the lifetimes in bulk and low-dimensional crystals. Take this into consideration. It is necessary to remember, that the lifetime of excitons is not constant for same semiconductor and that depends on the quality of crystal lattice, namely the presense of defects..
