Is there a protocol to isolate germinated pollen from solid media for RNA extraction?

We are trying to isolate RNA from pollen of Phlox drummondii plant. We have cultured pollen on solid media where it germinates. We now want to isolate this germinated pollen to extract RNA. Does anyone know of a protocol to do this?
