There are numerous databases for geochemical analyses for rocks like georoc and the National Geochemical Database of the USGS or purely mineralogical databases like mineralienatlas, mindat or webmineral. But is there a database for quantification of minerals in rocks?

The databases, as far as I know, are not explicitly driven by the system.

I would like to follow up with a question in response. What kind of sediments are we talking about here? Grain size define siliciclastic sediments (e.g. sandstone, claystone) and the mineral component would thus depend on provenance (sediment source rock) and sedimentary history (climate, transport, deposition and diagenesis). I suggest a more precise description of the sediments and or minerals you are interested in for comparability.

I'm searching for a database that contains quantitative mineralogical composition or all kind of rocks. So this is a rather general question. You can find such databases for petrophysical properties like p³ - PetroPhysical Property Database ( https://dataservices.gfz-potsdam.de/panmetaworks/showshort.php?id=escidoc:2263895 ) but not for the mineralogical composition of rock types.
What I have in mind is a database where you have a unique specimen numbers with the corresponding location of samples (from a drillhole, hand specimen, coordinates etc.), petrographic description of the sample (with rock type) and the mineralogical composition of the rock in mass-%, mol-% or volume-% (for every mineral phase present in the rock).
I do my research on rocks with prominent slaking behaviour like mudrocks, marl, siltstone etc. A mineralogical database just for these types of rocks would also be useful.
For engineering purposes minerals that are able to swell (like certain clay minerals, anhydrite etc.) are important as well as minerals that govern the abrasion characteristics of the rock (e. g. during drilling, digging etc.).
Regrettably, to my knowledge, a free database like this do not exist. It is a very big project, and these kind of data are typically sample and location dependent, although I guess that depend on the degree of precision necessary.

I do not look for a classification scheme.
For my work (with a geotechnical focus) I have to search sometimes for mineralogical compositions of a certain sedimentary or magmatic rocks. This task can be very tideous and time consuming.
So I asked myself if there is a database containing mineralogical compositions for a wide spectrum of rock types. But unfortunately there is no such database available at the moment. Obviusly, the best way to search for mineralogical compositions of certain rocks is still the classic literature review.

the British Geological Survey may be the right address in this case. It elaborated a compilation of sedimentary rocks aimed at a mapping instruction applicable in the field and follwo-up laboratory investigations (German: Kartieranleitung).

If you want to search for quantitative mineralogical composition of rocks use the phrase "X-ray Diffraction" in the "text search" and type in the rock you search for. In some cases you can download the raw data.
In the pangaea-data warehouse the mineral composition of rocks are sourced from publications. The search for locations is also possible. The raw data can be downloaded or can be viewed as html.
