The many-world theory is one of the recent interpretations of QM. It assumes that there are infinite number of parallel worlds for what is going on around us and gives the effect of observing the systems as equivalent to choosing one of the ongoing parallels. This sounds like the classical process of transforming a variable into infinite components then recollecting them again which is referred to as the wavefunction collapse. Is it possible to carry this idea further.
