A couple of weeks ago I've sent my masters dissertation through to [email protected] for feedback and I have just received an email with a PDF attachment, saying that my paper has been approved for their next publication (without having to change anything to the document at all). I also got details regarding a publication fee of 200 usd. I was very excited but after reading a few online posts about people not actually having their worked published and not hearing back from them, or constantly being spammed by them asking for papers, I am quite unsure as to what I should do next. I would not want to pay and then not have my work published. Can I ask to withdraw from the paper and apply for a different publication? Especially since my email was requesting feedback not applying for their next publication.
It doesn't appear in Beall's list (https://beallslist.weebly.com/), but any publication that asks for publication fees is going to be dodgy as hell. I'd ignore it if I were you. Write it up into an article and submit it to a reputable journal.
It sounds like predatory journal. First, your article was not a subject of peer review process. Second, they asked you to pay the publication fee. Third, you are being constantly spammed to send them a new manuscript. Fourth, the home page looks exactly as the average home page of predatory journals... I strongly advice you to 'run away' from this journal. I work in the faculty library on this particular issue and we have to deal with this problem on a daily basis. A good indicator of reputable journal is a strong peer review process. And usually they do not ask you whether you would like to publish your work with them... :-)
