Dear researchers,

We have a system in which the CYG component gradually destructs via a consecutive reaction against H2O2 during the time. Owing to the reduction in the conjugated diene bonds in the CYG structure and subsequently decrease the excitation coefficient during oxidation, the increment of the gap between HOMO and LUMO, blue and hypochromic shifts in the CYG emission spectra are expected; whereas the blue and hyperchromic shifts in emission spectra are occurred. It is noted that all the conditions in both absorption and fluorescence spectra measurements are the same during time. Why does the intensity of fluorescence spectra of CYG increase against H2O2 while the UV-Vis absorption spectra of the CYG decrease in the measured domain during oxidation time?
