While calculating the difference of energy of a system before and after vacancy formation, and subtracting energy of a carbon atom (in other words, applying an ordinary equation for bonding energy) I receive a positive value, which points at the fact that there is energy released (not absorbed!) by such a reaction. Perhaps, I should have taken into account the difference of chemical potential of an atom and a charge state of defect too? If so, how do I calculate the latter?
