Dear Researchers;
It always crosses my mind that University Lecturers spend a lot of time to adjust and compile documents as per Quality Assurance and Auditing departments in order to meet certain forms and templates...Did Einstein or Riemann or Euler or any outstanding scientist spend such time for documentations when they used to teach? they were devoted to research and to teach the way they like, consequently their impact and results are far better to what we are producing now a days!

Certainly bureaucracy and excessive documentation always get in the way . In my opinion, the more teachers use their own knowledge - and findings of his research - able to be more efficient in the transmission and sharing of content to their students

It has problems, I agree. But, this opinion should also be demonstrated with research instead of shallow and intuitive opinions.
In fact, the issue is a research topic.
I found a big-scale international collaborative research in this topic during a conference in Canada. They are researchers specialized in Higher Education (as a field of study):

I do agree that we need to conduct a research to prove or disprove our opinions, but as you said we are just sharing our concerns...In my opinion, Quality Assures is just a new duty to provide job offers! till now i am not convinced by it's existence and i did never feel that it promotes the quality of my work, it is still an obstacle for me!
That is my opinion up to a disprove, i evoked this question to share and read from others.

Sure Jamal. That is what RG is for: to feel comfortable to share prima facie views and gather information to mature our thoughts and claims.
I heard the presentation "IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) at Xiamen University, China: Collecting information from different university stakeholders" by Wu Fan in the Vancouver conference. In her findings, it is clear that even Chinese academics (who are usually regarded as power conformists) are rather reluctant to take part in IQA and they sometimes challenge its value. For example, they complain how little feedback is given after the data were submitted. So, some empirical research support our intuitive perceptions.
I completely agree with everyone's views and opinions here. Nowadays, this is exactly why global accreditation agencies like the ABET (for Engineering) perform their audit as advisors for the betterment of the program rather than acting as adversaries. Thus the process is examined (only over the immediate past - maximum 2 years) and suggestions are provided for improvement.
