Is posting a dissertation online (e.g. on ResearchGate) a good idea?

I have recently gotten several requests for my dissertation, which is not very fresh at this point, but which does have some validated measures, including a couple of tweaks to an established (survey) measure that yielded a marginally higher Cronbach's alpha, and some new measures, not all of which have been published elsewhere. I'm considering making it available here, though I would normally only post articles. Does anyone see reasons to do this, or to not do it?
