I think about mixing with Aloe-Vera extract with Hair-Bleach. And I focus more Anthraquinones in Aloe Vera active ingredient, because Anthraquinones have phenolic compounds which has antioxidant function. But I wonder is this Aloe-Vera extract is still stable when mixing with Alkalic Hair bleach. And I plan that Spray- dryer process after mixing Aloe-vera extract with Hair bleach. Is Phenolic compounds in aloe vera stable when this is under spray-dryer process?
Polyphenol in alkali, I wonder what the pH is? Normally polyphenol is not stable in alkali.
To spray dry the mixture of Aloe-Vera extract, temperature of air -n and air-out are so important. If you are interested in anthraqunione, HPLC is a useful technique.
Aloe juice contains polyhydroxy anthraquinones not polyphenolics like tannins. You can perform a trial and find out. Analyse the phenolic content before and after spray drying using gallic acid standard. Phenoilcs tend to oxidise even on normal exposure to atmospheric oxygen. So, under hot air blow definitely there will be sufficient oxidation. As aloes contain anthraquinones, not polyphenolics like tannins, here can be some stability. And the alkalic pH (antraquinones with ammonia shows fluorescence - test for detection of quinones) may also hinder your result. Let us know your trial results. Good luck.
