My conclusion: This request is fake. If you try to Google the mail address, you end up with hits about scam mails.

The official review request (of in this case Bentham) is according to their own website they state: “The full manuscript has to be submitted online via Bentham's Manuscript Processing System (MPS) at (https://bentham.manuscriptpoint.com/). The link “Submit Manuscript Online” leads you directly to the submission system of that specific journal.”

I asked the people of Bentham to confirm my suspicion that these mail addresses have nothing to do with Bentham Science, and that all official contacts always should end with [email protected] or …@benthamopen.net (unfortunately never received an answer...).

Today I got the same email and in my search, I reached this conversation.

Abstract: The presence of large quantities of relatively underutilized material within a given section suggests inadequate use of resources. The presence of stress concentrations results in a reduction in both the stiffness and strength of the component. This paper describes a new way to make a lightweight part for an autonomous ground vehicle (UGV) by combining finite element analysis (FEA), additive manufacturing (AM), and topology optimization (TO). The utilization of topology optimization plays a crucial role in enhancing the capability of additive manufacturing to generate output that is optimal for design purposes. Due to its reliance on exploration and iteration, engineering design often results in mechanical design being characterized by increased complexity and enhanced efficiency. The construction of the ideal prototype was achieved through the utilization of additive manufacturing and topological optimization techniques. The utilization of ANSYS software facilitates the transformation of the engineering concept of topology optimization, adapting it to suit the additive manufacturing process. Simultaneously, an evaluation is conducted on the feasibility of implementing topology optimization while considering its advantages and disadvantages. The findings of the study indicate that the suggested intervention holds promise for addressing additional stress-related conditions. The initial proposed design was estimated to have a cost of 400 JD. However, after optimization, the final design was achieved at a reduced cost of 200 JD. This improved design not only offers cost savings but also demonstrates enhanced eco-friendliness.

It seems Mahmood Alam is quite famous in almost every field. I can't imagine how he could be a master of everything. Lol.
