Hello, I will start working with HL-1 cells to see if they have my protein of interest, I do not work in cardiac research but it has been difficult for me to find a cell with my protein (already tried 3t3 and 3t3-l1). So I think is not important if the cell contracts or no since I'm not studying hypertrophy. Knowing this I have two questions:
1. Is it essential to supplement the claycomb media with Norephinephrine for cell survival / maintaining the cardiac phenotype ?
2. If yes do you think I could use Norepinephrine bitartrate instead of the (±)-Norepinephrine (+)-bitartrate salt that they speciffically say in the protocol? (is what I have already available in my lab)
Thank you very much for any answers/opinions that you can provide
