Indian agriculture, in present context, needs 'labour-saving' techniques from tilling to harvesting time and it should be at affordable price to small and marginal farmers. Lack of agricultural labour compelling majority of farmers to change cropping pattern from food crops to commercial crops which have higher comparative cost disadvantages. It needs such new technology that could be labour-saving at affordable price.
