As I am developing my research proposal, I encounter the problem of finding relevant literature that treats sentiment as an indicator of people's attitude/perception. Is it then theoretically reasonable? If not, what studies have argued this position? Please help me!
Kurumi, you probably need to explain in more detail what you mean with attitude (towards what?) or perception (of what?). However, my first guess is that the OCEAN model of personality contains what you are after. One of the "big five" factors that determine personality in that model is "agreeableness", which is associated with empathy and altruism. Well, I agree with Detlef Ruschin when asking for a clear explanation about exactly you pretend to measure. attitudes, perceptions, and sentiments are different concepts. If you explain in more detail, maybe we could help.
