Is it possible to use frequency response methods for leak detection?

I'm using the frequency response methods for leak detection in WDS

Information entropy can be considered a type of frequency response method, since it essentially is a measure of the mix of symbol occurrence frequencies. Information entropy based metrics has been proposed by several for measuring information leakage or privacy leakage.

I have proposed an entropy-based metric for measuring information leakage from Intrusion Detection System alarms here:
