Right now , I am working on Energy Efficiency optimal Cogntive Radios. I am refering few papers which include the following ones:
1. Distributed Interference-Aware Energy-Efficient Power Optimization
2. Interference-Aware Energy-Efficient Power Optimization
3. Energy-Efficient Link Adaptation in Frequency-Selective Channels.
In all the above papers, the simulation set up is almost the same. Parameters like base station antenna height, receiving antenna height, user mobility etc.are considered in the simulation. But, they have not clearly mentioned what is the simulation software used.
If any one of have worked in this area and have any idea as to how these type of simulations can be made , please guide in this regard.

-Matlab based simulations of the underwater acoustic channel are quite popular in literature, however, mostly these are highly application specific and deal with simulating the lower layers only.
-The NetMarSys simulator is designed and used by the Institute for systems and robotics in Portugal.
- Aqua-Lab is a underwater acoustic network Lab tesbed designed and hosted and the Underwater Sensor Network Lab at the University of Connecticut.

Yes you can madam. Your question is answered properly already. If you do not mind, you can try Omnet++ too mam.
You can try NS2 or omnet++ for this. you can also find their tutorials online which help you lot.

I think you can use MATLAB software for simulating those methods. From your knowledge you can write your own code to implement those algorithms that makes you better in that concept.
