We tried to obtain composites of PTFE filled with various particles by using an extruder with two counter rotating screws. We were not successful apparently because the melting temperature of PTFE is rather high and hence the effect of the thermal degradation (in air) results in a color change (and are no more negligible).

We are interested in using this path to generate PTFE based composites. If you were successful in obtaining a PTFE based composites using this technique, we will appreciate details regarding the source polymer (average molecular mass, form, transition temperatures) and processing conditions (temperature, time, rpm, number of cycles). Suggestions for alternative paths are welcomed.
