The most usual way to characterize those devices is applying a signal in the input transducer and reading a voltage in the output. Is it possible to measure the current consumption vs frequency in only one transducer to estimate the Q factor? I couldn't find any reference of this technique.

If I understand your question right (if those measurements can be done on one port instead of seperate input and output ports), yes it is possible.
