Although there have been numerous studies on quality of life in end-of-life processes, there is little evidence on the extent of the quality of death (QoD) in our culture since the literature on the measurement of this construct is relatively new. Many measures have been developed to evaluate QoD in different cultures. Given this concern, we decided to carry out a systematic review to obtain a contrasted vision of existing instruments to assess the QoD by identifying the kinds of instruments and psychometric properties analysed.
