Hello everyone,
I am new to culturing conditions of aerobes and anaerobes. I have come to know that through the use of very costly anaerobic chamber and jar, it is possible to culture them anaerobically.
Through your experience or is there anyone you would know, could answer this following question?
- I specifically would like to know, whether it is possible (or has there been an attempt) to culture anaerobes namely Gardnerella, Prevotella, Lactobacillus (or any vaginal anaerobes) aerobically to any extent?
Sharing of any helpful resource will be highly appreciated.

If they are microanaerobes it is possible, if they are strict anaerobes I don't think they grow aerobiosis.
For Lactobacillus we have tried different species and, although they grow better with GasPak systems, they can grow in a normal thermostat with 5% of CO2. For Prevotella I recommend a Gaspak system because they don't grow in presence of oxygen

@Sunil i am not familiar with this article, maybe we should try this medium. At the moment we have worked with some anaerobes using Schaedler broth/agar that worked quite well.
