Is it possible to conduct DSC of liquid oils using absorbent ?

I want to do DSC analysis of some commercialised oils, for which i want to get them adsorbed over adsorbents like kaolin, silica gel G etc. The liquid oils are converted to solid mass. This solid mass can be easily put in aluminium pans. We are not having DSC facility but we have to use it at some other place , where only solid materials are asked for DSC. Is the approach correct or not ?

You can measure Tg, Tm and Tc by lowering the oil temperature to -70 or -80C by solidifying. We did some work on oilve oil by this way.
